Angel Investor School is organized by “Technovate - Sabah Angel Club” - the first Angel Investor’s Club in Azerbaijan. Startup investing is considered a higher-risk higher-reward investment strategy. If you have a stable annual income and able to invest between $3,000 and $50,000 annually, then this investment tool can be a way to exponentially grow your wealth over several years. Your investments can also make an impact to your country, region and even globally depending on the startup's target market. This course will provide you introductory knowledge to start your journey as an angel investor.

The Program
1. What is an angel investment school?
An angel investment school is a structured program that provides education and training to individuals interested in becoming angel investors. It covers various aspects of angel investing, from understanding startups to evaluating investment opportunities.
2. Who is this school designed for?
The school is designed by “Technovate-Sabah Angel Investors Club” for individuals from Azerbaijan who has stable annual income and able to invest between $3,000 and $50,000 annually. Startup investing is considered to be higher reward investment strategy. It is a way to exponentially grow your wealth in a short amount of time, but these investments carry a higher risk. This course will provide you with introductory knowledge to start your journey as an angel investor.
3. How do I know if this program is right for me?
This program is right for you, if you like to take risks in investments driven by a desire to earn a lot more than any investment tool in the world or if you would like to be part of changing the world, region or a country.

The Learning Experience

2. Is this school held online or offline?
The main lessons are designed to be conducted online, but the last session will be offline where participants can attend, listen to panel discussions, ask questions, network with entrepreneurs etc.
3. How long does the school usually last?
The school will be conducted online based on 3 main lessons which are designed by successful businesspeople (mentors/investors/entrepreneurs) from the USA during. Each online course will last about 1.5 hours. At the end of the school, participants will have a chance to attend offline closing ceremony, where they will listen to panel discussion of successful entrepreneurs, startup owners and businesspeople from Azerbaijan. That event can take up to 3 hours.
4. What are the benefits of taking an angel investment school?
By the end of the school, participants will be able to:
- Understand what a start-up is, how to be successful at creating a start-up.
- Know the types of investments and differentiate angel investments from other types of investments.
- Create and manage an investment portfolio, be informed about deal sourcing and due diligence.
- Understand and analyze the current ecosystem of Azerbaijan.
5. Will I have access to the learning materials after the school?
You will have access to learning materials (ppt presentations, recording of sessions etc.) upon the completion of the school for a limited time.

Technical Requirements
1. Do I need any prior experience to take this school?
No prior experience is typically required, but a basic understanding of investment concepts and an interest in startups can be helpful.
2. How do I enroll in an angel investment school?
Check with the school website where you will find “Enroll now” button to pay and register for the school.
3. How much does the school cost?
The school fee will range between $160 (272 AZN) – $200 (340 AZN). Thus, the earlier sign-up fee for the school will be $160 (272 AZN), but later it will be increased by $200 (340 AZN) before the start of the school.
4. Do I need any specific technical skills to take an online school?
Most online courses are designed to be user-friendly, and you don't need advanced technical skills. Basic computer skills, internet access, and familiarity with web browsing are usually sufficient.
5. What equipment and software do I need?
You'll typically need a computer or a mobile device with internet access. Video conferencing tool: Zoom will mainly be used during the course.

Certification
1. Will I receive a certificate upon completion?
Yes. Each participant will get a certificate of completion at the end of last session of the school.
2. What are the requirements to earn the certificate?
To get the certificate, each participant needs to attend all three sessions that will be online and the last event that will be held offline.
3. Can I get a hard copy of the certificate?
Yes. A hard copy of the certificate will be provided during the last offline session of the school.
4. Do I receive alumni status after completing this program?
Yes. You will be added to the Technovate-Sabah Angel Investors Club upon your request. Club members will have a chance to network with other school alumnus and involve in activities managed by the Club.

Payment Process
1. What is the school fee, and what forms of payment do you accept?
The school fee will range between $160 (272 AZN) – $200 (340 AZN). Thus, the earlier sign-up fee for the school will be $160 (272 AZN), but later it will be increased by $200 (340 AZN) before the start of the school. Payment will only be made online through the website. No cash will be accepted.
2. Can I still register if the registration deadline has passed?
No. You can’t register after the registration deadline since school will start. You can wait and register for the next school.
3. I was not able to use the discount code provided. Can you help?
Yes. Please email us ( [email protected]) with the details of the problem you face, and we will assist you.
4. What is the policy on refunds and withdrawals?
The payments are non refundable.

Post-school benefits
1. How do I join an angel investor club?
Individuals who registered to the school will automatically get a chance to get one-year free subscription to the Technovate – SABAH Angel Investors Club, where they will have a chance to see and invest in global startups. Details will be sent to those who want to be part of Angel Investors Club.
2. Are there any prerequisites for becoming an angel investor after completing the school?
You need to invest at least $3,000 in one or more startups during the year. There is no upper limit for investment.
3. How much do I need to invest in startups during a year?
Only after a year of free membership. If you decide to stay as a member, you have to make at least $3,000 in the previous year and pay a yearly $300 membership fee.
4. What are the benefits of joining an angel investor club?
- Creating a portfolio at dealum.com: As a first step to joining the club, we will send you an invitation to register at dealum.com. You need to create a portfolio at dealum.com and include main information such as your contact details, proposed investment amounts etc.
- Seeing global startups: As dealum.com, you will have a chance to review many global projects related to different fields from all over the world.
- Investing in global startups: You will attend pitching events once or twice a month and be able to listen to different startups and invest in those that you like. Please be informed that start-ups in pitching events are those that are shortlisted and selected by the team of the club.
- Growing your network: Technovate-SABAH Angel Club is the first angel club in Azerbaijan that aims to unite potential investors under one roof. By being a member of this club, you will meet different Azerbaijani investors and grow your business network.
- Being educated about investing: You will have a chance to meet with different local and international experts/mentors and learn from their experience which will make you more educated about investment.
- Making huge profit: Unlike other investment types, angel investment is more secure and has a high chance of getting huge profit in the long run.
5. How do I find startups to invest in?
You will attend pitching events once or twice a month and be able to listen to different startups and invest in those that you like. Start-ups in pitching events are those that are shortlisted and selected by the team of the Club.
6. What types of startups are typically considered for investment?
